Utility Rebates & The Mass Save Program – Taking Full Advantage

Share:

Many people who have taken advantage of Mass Save’s energy efficiency incentive programs think that they’ve used up their eligibility – but in fact, you can keep taking advantage of additional rebates and incentives each calendar year!  Just because you took advantage of the Mass Save incentive programs last year doesn’t mean that you can’t do more this year. Even those who got the full $2000 rebate in 2012 are now eligible for a renewed $2000 in incentives for 2013 as long as they are doing different work – for example, if you insulated your walls last year, you can do your attic this year and qualify for the rebate all over again.

Some highlights of this year’s programs include:

  • 0% financing for eligible improvements through the HEAT loan program (Insulation, Windows, etc)
  • Major rebates on energy-efficient heating and hot water appliances
  • A 75% rebate on home insulation, up to $2000
  • A 100% rebate on home air sealing, average cost $950

The more you do to make your home energy efficient, the more money you can save. Insulate your attic, replace the water heater, reseal windows and doors – there’s almost always something more that you can do! You can also follow Wattson Home Solutions on Facebook to get an endless supply of tips and information on increasing your home’s efficiency and cutting those energy bills.
